4 STEP TRANSFORMATION PROCESS

Children and adults can benefit from brain-based research via a 4 step transformation of cognitive thinking:

  1. TEST/SCREEN
  2. DIAGNOSE
  3. INTERVENE
  4. MEASURE SUCCESS

1. The TRANSFORMATION PROCESS begins by finding out where your cognitive thinking strengths and weaknesses lie. This is done by taking the STRUCTURE OF INTELLECT ASSESSMENT (SOI) of Thinking Abilities. The SOI will evaluate how your strengths/weaknesses relate to success in school or career, learning styles, comprehension, memory, problem solving, decision making, critical/creative thinking, vision, reading, and math. This test is considered by many to be the limousine of all thinking abilities testing. Most 3rd graders up through adults take this Assessment. Kindergarten through 2nd Graders take an abbreviated version of it called: LEARNING HOW YOU LEARN. Occasionally parents take the assessments along with their children. For the younger children, a SCREENING of Sensory Integration and Focusing Skills is given as part of the Assessment. Older children and adults will do an abbreviated version and then , if needed, later complete the full screening later.

2. A week or two after taking the test, we'll sit down for a CONSULTATION ABOUT THE DIAGNOSIS/ANALYSIS and explain how your testing/screening results relate to your life and future successes. The info will be invaluable to you!

3. When necessary, an INDIVIDUALIZED INTERVENTION PLAN or personalized remediation training program will be designed for you. This personalized plan might include prescribed modules and multiple activities to help make the body/brain connection. Working through this plan will address your strengths and weaknesses, transforming your mind to an improved future of thinking and learning.

4. MEASURE YOUR SUCCESSES:

a. A SOI Post Test shows your weaknesses becoming strengths.
b. You have a new found personal confidence and satisfaction.
c. Family and friends notice subtle and amazing differences in you.
d. Teachers/bosses see marked improvements at school or on the job.

UPCOMING DATES:

JULY: Patti to attend SOI Advanced / Associates Training and meeting in Oregon.

WHAT FORMER CLIENTS SAY:

QUOTES OF CHILDREN AND PARENTS:

“You are my superhero because you took my brain and trained it so it could read.” 3rd Grader

“Both of my children were tested/screened. I learned how they learned, where their gaps or weaknesses are in their learning process: vocabulary and memory. My son was found to have major vision problems—his eyes jumped and didn’t flow smoothly up and down, left to right, or diagonally. After 2 weeks of training to strengthen his eye muscles, he began to improve. The games and instruction he received were fun for him and he didn’t realize he was working.” Mother

"I did what you told me! I just practiced and practiced and now I can do it!" 1st Grader

”My daughter had some vision problems found when taking the S.O.I. test. You screened her… set up a program for vision training twice a week. She has now mastered most of the exercises and does things at home to keep improving. You also worked with my eight year old son, who in the third grade could do grade level work verbally but was unable to read. The S.O.I. revealed vision problems. The Screening revealed eye movement/rhythm/coordination deficits. As you worked with him twice a week, his reading improved…self confidence was boosted…he got very excited when he mastered something….my son is now in the sixth grade, reading at grade level.” Mom

“We adopted a little boy who had been left in an almost vegetative state…he had many developmental problems. We connected with Patti and the Sensory Integration program. She taught us how to do the exercises. He is now in school, doing well! You would never know he was the same child. Praise God!” Dad

"I got all A's and B's for the first time and I haven't gotten in trouble at school for a long time." Middle Schooler

" I decided to have my entire family take Patti's diagnostic testing - that way my son wouldn't know we were merely just testing him. Not only did we all learn a lot about how each other processes information, which greatly helped our family dynamics, but we saw that our son needed some intervention. Thank God for Patti Sikes and her program. The help that Patti's program provided for my son absolutely transformed his school experience. He gradually started receiving 8's and 9's on his standardized reading material quizzes. His grades went up in any subject that demands a lot of reading. Now in high school he averages around 90% on his semester. If you believe in, as I do, the old proverb "it takes an entire village to raise a child," please take my word for it: the invaluable gift my son received. Patti's emphasis on family was certainly in keeping with our family unit. The entire experience was such a blessing to both my son and our family, I felt I had to passionately share our experience." Husband, Father, and College Professor

I could not hold my attention until I learned how to use the balance board. Now, I’ve gone from F’s to A’s! Wow! You guys rock!” Teen

COLLEGE STUDENT / ADULT QUOTES:

“I learned that you know more about me in one test than what people have been trying to figure out for years. It reads me up one side and down the other. It challenged me to do better.” College Athlete

“I would recommend this test to anyone…to work on weak areas and accent strong ones.” Adult

“I now have a better understanding for the reason of my difficulty in school as a child. You have helped me discover what I am good at. I’m now strengthening my weak areas.” College Student with Learning Disabilities

“My scores were fairly high…Unfortunately, they do not match with my grades…I guess there is some work to do…I was a good match for all of the jobs that I picked.” College Underachiever

“I want to thank you for the S.O.I. experience. Now that I know I’m capable, I feel that I can achieve greater things. You and the S.O.I. have opened my eyes to all the options I never knew I had.” Young Adult

“Your atmosphere is warm and welcoming, which makes me want to go and strengthen my weaknesses…through the balance board I can now remember things better…” Musician

"I am a medical doctor who began to have a lot of “brain fog” and trouble with my vision. I needed to take some certification tests and was feeling a lot of anxiety. I was sure that I could not pass! Then, I found out that it was not an eyesight (20/20) problem and was referred to your program by my optometrist. I went through it (only in part) and later passed my certification with flying colors. Thanks for working with me in such a flexible way. I am so thankful for your program." Medical Doctor
